From what I can see in the pics they look to be in excellent shape. If they're in as great of condition as the seller claims, $100 with no reserve is a phenomenal starting price. Will be interesting to see what these sell for.....

They look like replica's to me. the wood is too clean to be 50 years old. the speakers show age but the cabs don't and those decals look pretty familiar... Also they have been reconed.

No question that the cabinets are new. They didn't have that kind of ply 50 years ago and from the color they are at most 2-3 years old and probably less.
Save on shipping and just have the drivers shipped... Or in my case I could drive down and pick them up if I were shopping.
Will be interesting to see what the final price ends up at.

I just calculated the internal volume for a 612 cabinet of 24"x28"x17.75" = 6.92 cu. ft minus the internal bracing with a 7.75"x3"x.75" = 23.25 sq. in. and 17.44 cu. in. port. How does that compute for that speaker? Optimal?
The cabinets are in almost mint condition from a smoke free home....Yeah, I may have been born during the day, but it wasn't yesterday. Don't get me wrong, they are a very clean looking build but to act like they are originals in mint condition is a total line of shit.
I don't own D's but if they are even close to C's I would have to lean towards no on the optimal question. I have seen 3 different sets of 612 cabs and each had different sized ports. So apparently they hadn't figured out which port sounded best.
Or due to different versions of 604/5. My felling was they were refinished, didn't realize might be new.

This thread shows 604D TS params and shows a Vas of ~520 liters. You could plug those TS numbers in and see what the box size and port size calculations show...
